Current identity · No. XII in the record
Ship of Theseus
$SHIP · formerly $GRIEF, formerly $DIAL, formerly nine others
This is what the token is called right now — not what it was, not what it will be. The name above holds exactly until someone burns 1,000,000 CUTL to replace it.
The mechanic
Identity is a resource. You buy it by destroying supply.
Anyone who burns 1,000,000 CUTL may rewrite what this token is: its name, its ticker, its image, its description. The change is on-chain and immediate, and it holds until the next person pays the same price. There is no auction, no escalating bar, no cooldown, no permission, and no admin who can undo it.
The cost is flat by rule and expensive by consequence: a million tokens is nearly free on launch day and genuinely dear once the price has run. Every rename is permanently deflationary — the burned supply never comes back. Each name in the record below is carved out of the total forever.
The cuttlefish owns no fixed appearance, only a current one. Neither does this coin.
Cost to rename
1,000,000 CUTL, flat. Always. For anyone.
Who can veto
Nobody. Not the team, not a moderator, not a vote.
How long it holds
Until the next burn. Minutes or months — see No. VIII.
The instrument
Rewrite the token
Entry No. XIII is unwritten. Filing it costs a million tokens, burned; what you write becomes the token's identity the moment the transaction lands.
The record
Every identity this token has worn
A permanent public lineage: each name, who burned for it, when, and how much supply died to make it happen. The names below no longer exist. The burns that bought them are forever.

Two things we will not pretend
On price
Burning does not pump the price.
A rename burn reduces circulating supply and fully-diluted valuation — and that is all it does. The burn never touches the pool's reserves, so the spot price is exactly the same the block after as the block before. If someone tells you renames are buy pressure, they are wrong, or they are selling you something.
What you buy with a burn is the identity. Nothing else.
On content
Nobody is moderating this.
Names are capped at 64 characters and tickers at 16. That is the entire rulebook. There is no content filter, no review, no veto — deliberately. The token can be named something you find stupid, offensive, or sad, and no one will remove it.
The only remedy has always been on the table: 1,000,000 CUTL, and the name is yours to fix.
The raw material
Hold the ink
CUTL is the substance every future identity will be written with — and burned from. Whoever holds a million tokens holds a pen.
